Happy Father's Day, Dad!

Today we went to the cemetery to re-paint the lettering on my dad's headstone. All of our names are debossed in the cement around the edges. They'll need to be repainted in gold each year so it will be a great tradition. We put up a canopy to block the sun but the wind was blowing like crazy. Some of us painted and some just held on to the canopy. Each kid, grand and great got to paint their own name.
Good memories!
Love you Dad.

A Whole New World

My Johnny boy is at the Missionary Training Center in Provo, Utah. He'll be leaving for Indiana on June 15th. He's doing very well. Learning a lot. He says the time is going by slowly right now. He really wants to get out into the mission field and get going. Right now there's a lot of studying and practicing teaching the gospel. He's a little homesick but he'll be fine. Here are some pics from the MTC.
Here he is with his companion Elder Crouch.

He's ready to save the world! I love this boy. He has great energy!

I've noticed a difference in the amount of food we have in the house. We bought a case of strawberries last week and we actually had to throw some out because they didn't get eaten fast enough! I also only had to buy one gallon of milk when I went shopping. We've been making instant pudding like crazy trying to use up the other milk before it expires.
Hee hee.

Aaaannnnnddd...... He's off!

Today we took Johnny to the MTC to begin his mission! It was a great day! Whipped-cream smiley-faced pancakes at IHOP...
Pictures at the Provo temple. He's saying "I'm headed that-a-way!

Then we walked down to the MTC and dropped him off.
448 missionaries entered today!

Love you boy!

My boy!

Johnny's farewell day last Sunday was wonderful. He gave a great talk and the other speakers were awesome, too. Super music as well. Lots of friends came over after.

Hooray! She got a job!

Here's my cute daughter Michal (pronounced McCall). She finally got a job today after looking for almost 6 months! Congratulations, sweetie! She was laid off from her other job in January after working there for a year. She's now going to be a manager for a clothing store. I'm so excited for her!
